FARR BACK INTO GOOD FORM
Official press release – East Coast Pipeline Racing
January 12, 2012

Robbie Farr has the batteries charged and the East Coast Pipeline Maxim on song as the team heads away from a stout week of competition at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway and into South Australia for this Saturday night’s WSS competition at Speedway City.

“Queensland was a fantastic week for us,” admits Farr, “we won the Wednesday night event, we were leading Friday night’s preliminary when we got taken out by a lapped car and Saturday night for the 50 lap final we ran second to Donny Schatz. Running second to Donny is like winning any other nights, so we’re pleased for the whole team.”

If not for the disappointment of the lapped car incident on the Friday night, the #7 East Coast Pipeline / Orrcon Steel / Hi-Tec Oils Maxim would have finished the week with two wins and a second placing to one of the best drivers in the world.

The whole week at Archerfield there were just some phenomenal drivers there,” admits Robbie, “so to come away with the results that we did is a huge testament to the boys for their efforts. We’re back on track and I’m feeling we have the car again to win races.”

Farr’s form also saw him regain second place overall in the WSS Championship points battle.

This weekend the competition is no less fierce as 42 cars including six Americans contest the tenth round of the 2011/2012 Hi-Tec Oils World Series Sprintcars Championship at Adelaide’s Speedway City.

The week after that it gets really busy with four races in five days culminating in the massive $40,000 to win Warrnambool Classic and then a return to Adelaide the following weekend for the 50th Australian Sprintcar Championship.

“This is the time you need to have your act together, and right now I feel that we do. Its an exciting time with all these big races, plus World Series really going off each round,” Farr explains.
