Current WSS Champion Robbie Farr started his World Series Sprintcar title defence in fine fashion last night at Supercheap Archerfield Speedway with a solid second place finish. The East Coast Pipeline Racing team driver was consistently at the pointy end of the field throughout the nights racing, setting the second quickest time in time-trials on a drying track, and then racing his way forward from the back of his heats to end up third in points which qualified him for the Silver Shootout. Robbie then won the Silver Shootout before setting the second fastest time in the Gold Shootout to clinch a front row starting position in the A main. In the A Main Robbie, James McFadden and Jason Johnson turned on a spectacular show trading positions numerous times for a large and appreciative crowd. “That was a great race and the reason I love this sport so much”, said Robbie on the podium. “I was right in the mix and at stages I grabbed the lead. I was racing within myself sitting back watching those two go at it, they were racing real hard and I could see something might have been about to happen”. “We’re really happy with the consistency we’ve shown this year, now we move on to the second round at Dubbo confident of the race package we have”.
East Coast Pipeline would like to take this opportunity to thank all our corporate sponsors for their ongoing support.
