An Interesting Night At The Office

Robbie FarrAn interesting night was how Robbie Farr described last Saturday nights visit by he ECPR team to Archerfield Speedway for round 2 of the KRE Engines Sprintcar Series.

Although there was rain earlier in the day the track went off a bit for the teams late time trial draw but despite that we still timed in 8th position.

By virtue of our time trial draw we started from 6th in the heat and on a track that was left narrow due to the rain we finished 5th.

In the second heat disaster struck when the car unexplainably turned right in the middle of the corner, slapping the wall and ending up on it’s side. “It was weird, explained Robbie. I’m not sure what happened, I can only put it down to driver error”.

The crew done a great job to change both the rear and front ends which enabled us to start from nineteenth in the A main.

With his elbows up Robbie drove superbly to finish 3rd in the A main, a good result considering the topsy-turvy night we had.

We are looking forward to this Saturday night when the team heads to Avalon Raceway in Victoria for the $10,000 to win Sprintcar Jackpot meeting, with many of the teams that we will compete against in the upcoming WSS championship and a unique format it should be fun.
