Wss Championship Is Still The Big Picture For Robbie Farr & Ecpr
( Jan 18, 2011 ) - After a few slow weeks on the points side for Robbie Farr & The ECPR team, last weekend they got back on track with a second at Murray Bridge Speedway & a 5th at Speedway City Adelaide, “Speedway City would have been another second, but we had problems with the right rear going down at the end of the feature race and managed to limp home in 5th, & that says a lot for this ECPR team. I am very confident we had the car for a solid second putting us back in the hunt” commented Robbie Farr from Melbourne yesterday.
Robbie also noted “after so much down time in Brisbane & Mildura due to the floods & having to sit around a lot and missing the racing, the ECPR team were itching to get back on the track, but at the end of the day if we miss out on racing because of the rain & floods, that’s nothing compared to the devastation the people of Queensland have to now overcome, the ECPR team sends all the best wishes their way”
“We are still right in the hunt for this WSS title & I can’t wait till the western swing in February, WA is always a place we have done well at, some of our best tracks are in the west like Bunbury and the Motorplex and I can’t wait to get back to Manjimup Speedway, that place is awesome. We are happy at where we are at & now looking forward to the challenge ahead”
This week’s schedule for the East Coast Pipeline Racing team will start with non championship races at Avalon Raceway for the Presidents Cup on Wednesday night & then move onto the Kings Challenge at Mount Gambier on Friday night before we roll out for the big one, the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Premier Speedway Warnambool. From there the team will stay based in Warnambool for the Wednesday night prelude to the Australian Sprintcar Title the following weekend another race “I would like to win again said a very pumped up Robbie Farr”.
The series moves onto the western swing and will start with round 13 at Kalgoorlie International Speedway on Wednesday February 9th 2011.
Keep an eye out on the East Coast Pipeline racing website for continued updates and stay in touch with our race schedule for this new sprintcar season.
