(Nov 30, 2010 ) - To lead every lap of the World Series Sprintcar feature races so far in 2010 would have been a pipe dream for Robbie Farr & East Coast Pipeline Racing team but the fact is it is reality, the hardest thing now is to continue the form the team have found into Tasmania this weekend and for the rest of the series. Toowoomba was the final race in this Queensland swing of WSS and to again come out on top is a credit to the hard working ECPR team, it was always going to be tough as other teams will find that lost form of round 1, but for Robbie Farr it’s all about building that points buffer for the bigger picture, a World Series Sprintcar crown. Things didn’t quite get off too plan in Toowoomba, the ECPR Eagle suffered some minor fuel issues in hot laps & time trials putting the #7 in 10th position after that session.
They had some work to do in the heats & as a result of time trials & heats this put them out of 4th in the shootout & they again gained a few spots in the shootout to start on the front row of the main event, Speedy & the boys had the car right & ready to go for 30 laps, it was perfect.v
This weekend the team heads to Tasmania for the two rounds at Hobart International Speedway & Latrobe Raceway, two small very fast tracks, and no room for mistakes. Speaking with Robbie this week “It’s good to get back to Tasmania, we missed last season down there but I think it is important for a national series to race all over Australia, We have a couple of two seater sprintcar days that the tracks are hosting, I am looking forward to mixing it with the fans as well, our aim is to continue to gather momentum in Tassie with points & roll into Speedweek on boxing day in the lead, I can’t thank the boys enough for the car they continue to give me each & every week, it makes my job a lot easier”. Keep an eye out on the East Coast Pipeline racing website for continued updates and stay in touch with our race schedule for this new sprintcar season.
East Coast Pipeline would like to take this opportunity to thank all our corporate sponsors for their ongoing support.
