wtr_62263Robbie Farr & East Coast Pipeline Racing team venture into Speedway City Adelaide this weekend for the coveted George Tatnell Cup.

As the sprintcar season winds down nationally with only limited shows left on the calendar the ECPR as also in preparation mode for the upcoming Australian Sprintcar Championships at Darwin’s Northline Speedway in May 2010.

Last weekend Farr competed in the Victorian Sprintcar Championships at Warnambool Speedway only to have an uphill battle after a bad time trial. Robbie had this to say after the event, "We made the night hard for ourselves right from the get go with a poor qualifying performance (17th) but from then on the night started to get better after a couple of good heat races we managed to start the main from position 9 and worked our way up to 3rd place by the finish"

Farr & ECPR crew chief Nick Speed both agreed at the end of the night to get the finish they had was a great result for the team, considering where they were at the start of the event, "the track was quite heavy so not a bad result considering our 5th row start, a front row start tonight would have made life a lot easier for us.

Now looking forward to getting back to Adelaide as it's a track that we have always preformed well at over the years"

Speedway City is home to some of Australia’s biggest sprintcar races & none more than the George Tatnell Cup, George was a legend of the sport and responsible for the professionalism of Australian Sprintcar racing as you see it today, it is not only a great race to compete in but would be a honor for any team in Australian Sprintcar racing to get their name on this trophy.

Don’t forget the East Coast Pipeline team is now offering Sprintcar fans the chance to ride with Robbie Farr in the teams two seater J&J sprintcar powered by a KRE engine. This happens in April at Speedway City in Adelaide but numbers are limited, so for you chance of a lifetime call ECPR on 0417 670 929 to secure your place in history.
