May  7, 2010  - Ford Performance Racings Mark Winterbottom and Steve Richards have experienced an adrenaline rush ahead of this weekends Ipswich 300 in Queensland.

In a rare occurrence the pair were passengers aboard the East Coast Pipelines two seater Sprintcar piloted by former Australian Champion Robbie Farr.

Producing 900 horsepower and only half the weight of Winterbottoms Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon, the 28 year-old was suitably impressed by the dirt track winged warrior.

Having grown up around speedway with his father a two-time Australian Sprintcar Champion Jim, Mark Winterbottom was still amazed with the power and performance of the Sprintcar.

Richards, a two-time Bathurst Champion, has had the opportunity to steer one of the winged warriors previously but he was suitably impressed after climbing out after his ride.

While Winterbottom and Richards will this weekend be in action at Queensland Raceway Farr will be contesting the Queensland State Championship at Archerfield.

Practice for the Ipswich 300 will begin this afternoon (Friday) ahead of two races across the weekend.
