wtr_50187Robbie Farr and the East Coast Pipeline Racing Team start their 2009-2010 racing season off at Silver Dollars Speedway Chico in California tonight. Robbie Will be driving the Barry Waldron owned East Coast Pipeline Team sprintcar that is based in American over the next few weeks taking in a couple of local shows before joining the Outlaws early in September for seven show.

Team crew chief Nick Speed has been in American for some time keeping up to date with what’s happening in the sprintcar circles while also getting the East Coast Pipeline J&J’s ready for Robbie. With Robbie and Barry’s arrival yesterday the team will get straight down to business and will be looking for a good finish for their season opening event. A full schedule of Robbie’s American tour can be found at the bottom of this release or on his web site.

The team will return to Australian soil latter in September to continue on with a big season that will most likely run until May 2010 taking in again just about all the States and major Blue Ribbon events right across the country and up to Darwin at the end of the season.

The off season for Robbie has been a little different this year with Robbie making a move to live in Western Australia and into a very relaxing life style. With a lot of Robbie’s friends now living in the West the discission for a change was not too difficult. With his residents near the beach Robbie will enjoy being able to train a little more for his racing with runs on the beach along with his other regular training.

Looking at last seasons (2008-2009) results the overall picture was very pleasing and also backs up what was a good first season (2007-2008) showing the team have come together very well and the expectation for the this season is to continue on with more great results and try to capture a couple more of those major event win that has eluded the team so far.

A quick look at last season results show that Robbie and the East Coast Pipeline Team contested some thirty seven Main events with Robbie greeting the chequered flag in first place on ten occasions and with twenty four top five finishes. Robbie picked up thirty four top tens overall in the Main events and the heat racing wasn’t too bad either, with sixty eight heat races contested resulting in twelve wins, eleven 2nd place finishes, nine 3rd placing’s and ten fourth placing’s.

Robbie and the East Coast Pipeline Racing Team along with the Team sponsors
will be out putting there best foot forward once again looking for more strong results but most of all the Team and their sponsors will be looking to have a great season in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Remember the team and Robbie invite you the spectators to drop in after the shows to say a quick hello.

www.robbiefarr.com will be having a few changes going on over the next week or so but we will try to keep you informed as we go, new racing apparel will become available also in the future that will be found on the website.. Due to Internet hackers that have doing the rounds the Guest Book on Robbie’s site has been affected and for that reason the Guest book is closed for a short time but will be back on line very soon.
