At the start of the season Eastcoast Pipeline Racing looked at certain races they wanted to win and one of those was The Krikke Boys Memorial race.

Driver Robbie Farr has won the race four times previously and wanted to make it number five. The Eastcoast Pipeline team wanted to win this race due to it having so much raw emotion about it.

“Saturday night was the way to start a two day show with us winning the feature” Farr explained.

Going into Sunday’s final night of racing the team were up and about nice and early getting prepared to try and claim the trophy in memory of Daryl & Jason Krikke.
Speaking to Robbie at lunch on Sunday he was quietly confident. “We had a nice car in the feature on night one but there is still plenty of room to make the car quicker. To tell you the truth this race means so much to me personally due to having driven for the Krikke Family Motorsports Team. They treat me like family and to be able to say that I have won it five times and to win it for the ECP Team would be huge.”

Everything fell into place for the ECP Team with Farr crossing the line in first position.

“To actually say that I have won it five times is just bloody fantastic and to win this race for ECP Team on their first attempt is just putting the icing on the cake” said Robbie.

It’s time now for the whole team to have a little holiday in Perth before contesting “MIKE NANOVICH SPRINTCAR KING OF WINGS” at Perth’s Motorplex this weekend.
