Sydney sprintcar driver Robbie Farr raced to victory in the Presidents Cup at Avalon Raceway in Victoria on Wednesday night January 24, leading home American Daryn Pittman and David Murcott in the 26th annual running of the event.

Farr, driving the Aceways Autogear Racing #7 Cool, timed in second quick in the field of thirty-two cars and finished fourth and first in his qualifying Heat races to earn enough points for a front row start for the Feature grid alongside Australian Champion Brooke Tatnell. Tatnell led the early laps before a reported mechanical failure ended his night, allowing Robbie through to the race lead and victory in the time-honoured event.

Racing alongside Farr in the team's #61 car, Qld's Todd Wanless posted the fifth fastest lap of the 1/4 mile speedway in the time trials session before winning the B-Main and transferring to the night's Feature event. Todd moved from position thirteen on the grid to seventh at the fall of the chequers.

The Aceways Autogear Racing team head across the Victoria/South Australia border to Mt Gambier today for tonight's running of the Kings Challenge at Borderline Speedway before crossing back into Victoria tomorrow for Night 1 of the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Premier Speedway in Warrnambool.
