EastCoast Pipeline Racing ventured to Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway last Saturday night to contest round 6 of Wanless World Series Sprintcars with something to prove. After a previous tough week at Brisbane International Speedway the team re-grouped and looked forward to racing at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway, where Robbie Farr cut his teeth in his younger days. The weather looked liked it was going to play a big part in the events running and the night looked to start very badly for the EastCoast Pipeline Racing by pulling marble one for time trials. Farr went out and to everyone’s surprise set the fastest time with 11.635. Robbie later said “ when marble one was pulled I thought straight away this is going to be one long night, to the teams credit we got the car just right for when we had our chance to set the Comp Cams quick time”. Through the heats the ECP Racing J&J did what it had to do and set Farr up for a front row start in Dash one. ECP Racing J&J started out of position three for the feature race with a very good chance of finishing on the podium. It didn’t happen but the team were still very happy with fourth place in a field of 59 cars that took the green flag. “After talks in the days following the event we kind of wish we had the feature race to do over, as we know there’s still alot more speed to come the ECP Racing J&J that we didn't find in that particular race” Farr said. ECP Racing J&J now heads down to the apple isle for the next two rounds of their WWSS campaign. If you are at the track call by the transporter after the meeting and pick up your ECP Racing / Robbie Farr free poster and buy some merchandise.
