He may hail from Sydney and consider Parramatta City Raceway his home track, but it appears that Robbie Farr has certainly taken a liking to Brisbane International Speedway (BIS). Another podium result, second place behind Feature winner Cameron Gessner in the opening round of the Comp Cams Series, has continued his remarkable string of results at the Qld race venue in 2006.

Since joining the Aceways Autogear Racing team late last season, Robbie has competed in eight events at BIS and finished on the podium seven times, racking up four wins in the process. Of the four events he has run with the team this season, Robbie has failed to finish outside the top five and he will look to carry that form into Round 3 of the Coca Cola Track Championship at Parramatta this Saturday night October 14, where it is expected he will also debut a new Cool chassis.

Unfortunately for the team, Todd Wanless and Pete Thorley did not fair as well in Comp Cams 1. Although both drivers qualified for the A-Main event, Todd just missing the cut-off for the Dash and Pete coming through the B-Main, incidents during the opening laps of the race forced them both out of the event and being credited with 13th and 15th place respectively.

At this point in the team's schedule for season 2006/07, Todd and Robbie now head out on the road with races at Parramatta and Adelaide's Speedway City before competing in the opening round of World Series Sprintcars in Western Australia in November. Pete will concentrate his racing in Qld, with MSAQ Club shows and Comp Cams races at Maryborough and Brisbane during the same period.
