Life is defiantly like a box of chocolates on the road with the World Series Sprintcar Show. After finishing round 5 at Avalon with a win before the Christmas break things looked to be going in the right direction for Robbie Farr and the Titan Team.

Well after a good Christmas feed in Sydney with the family it was back to business for Robbie with round 6 of the World Series Sprintcar competition at Speedway City and the Titan Team were looking to pick up where they left off. This didn’t go as well as expected, so the roller coaster ride began with the highs and lows that often are part of racing.

Six shows in two state over the next eight night was going to be very interesting for Robbie and the Titan Garages team, the mission was to first make the Main events and then finish them all as far as possible toward the pointy end of the field and gain valuable points.

The good news was that Robbie made all the main events and finished them all with reasonable success, round six at Speedway City was disappointing to finish with a nine place but still enough points to retain the lead of the WSS championship. Round 9 saw the team pick up there best result with a win and take the Series points lead back after losing it at round 8, before relinquishing it again to be in second place on the table after round 11.

Overall Robbie and the team managed to go forward at almost all the rounds in there heats and Main events to still be in the chase for the World Series Crown, before moving back up north for the next leg of the Championship.

So the scorecard reads as follows:
Round 6 Speedway City
Time Trial – 32nd, Heat 2 – 1st to 1st, Heat 6 – 2nd to 1st
B Main – 4th to 4th, A Main – 16th to 9th.

Round 7 Murray Bridge
Time Trial – 2nd, Heat 2 – 11th to 6th, Heat 6 DNF
(During heat six while avoiding contact with another car Robbie headed infield only to find many photographers close to the track and stopped the car before hitting them, the race continued leaving one very disappointed driver sitting)
B Dash – 4th to 3rd, A Main - 6th to 5th

Round 8 Mt Gambier
Time Trial – 11th, Heat 2 – DNF, Heat 4 7th to 5th
B Main - 3rd to 1st, A Main - 13th to 5th

Round 9 Avalon Raceway
Time trial - 7th, Heat 1 – 10th to 4th, Heat 5 – 9th to 5th
Dash B – 2nd to 1st, A Main - 2nd to 1st

Round 10 Premier Speedway
Time Trial – 2nd, Heat 2 – 12th to 9th, Heat 4 – 11th to 8th
Dash A – 2nd to 2nd, A Main - 3rd to 5th

Round 11 Premier Speedway
Time Trial – 22nd, Heat 1 – 4th to 2nd, Heat 5 - 3rd to 1st
Dash A – 5th to 4th, A Main – 5th to 4th

Although Robbie and the team had hoped for better overall results they were pleased to have finished all the Mains and not have any damage to the car, “ We would like to have been fighting for the win each night but this is a tough deal so to go away with good points and a straight race car is not that bad, we are still in the hunt”

Rounds 12 and 13 plus the rescheduled round 2 was the next leg and once again the roller coaster ride continued but finished with a high taking out another win in round 13 at the Brisbane venue.

Round 12 Brisbane Speedway
Time Trial – 7th, Heat 1 – 9th to 6th, Heat 4 – 10th to 9th
Dash A – 6th to 5th, A Main - 9th to 9th.

Round 2 Toowoomba (rescheduled event)
Time Trial 7th, Heat 1 – 7th to 7th, Heat 4 - 8th to 4th
B Main – 1st to 1st, A Main – 13th to 6th

Round 13 Brisbane Speedway
Time Trial 13th, Heat 1 - 8th to 2nd, Heat 5 – 7th to 3rd
Dash A 2nd to 1st, A Main - 1st to 1st.

End results after thirteen rounds, Robbie Farr and Team Titan are sitting in second place on the points table with 10850 points, 661 points behind Series leader Max Dumesny. Three rounds of the WSS championship to go with the next stop at the new Heartland Raceway in Moama / Echuca on Wednesday the 19th then onto Mildura for the Friday the 21st with the final at Speedway city the next night Saturday the 22nd.

Robbie is looking forward to the challenge to try and take the lead back and the Championship, “it has been tough but we are not too far away from Max and there is still a lot of points to be taken so we will be giving it our best shot to grab the championship, there will be some good battles in the last few rounds with the top four or five drivers looking to finish on a high”
