Last Saturday night saw the Titan team driver Robbie Farr take back to back wins at Premier Speedway with a perfect score card and grabbing the $10,000 winners purse in the ANZ shootout. After taking out the Victorian Sprintcar title a week earlier at Warrnambool’s Sungold Stadium, Robbie wasted no time to show he meant business once again. After taking two heat wins from positions 6 and 5 respectively this gave Robbie his second consecutive top points score in two weeks and the right to choose his front row starting position for the ANZ $10,000 to win A Main. With slick track conditions it was going down to a tyre choice that would be a safe bet rather than a fast tyre that could run into trouble latter. When the green flag was waved to start the ANZ $10000 main Robbie moved straight into the lead and opened a small gap back to the second placed car of Dumesny. At this early stage of the race it was clear that the bottom of the track was the place to be. Moving in on the lapped traffic was one thing but passing was another, while looking for a way around the traffic Robbie’s lead was reduced to near nothing and than as he moved up track for a pass the car lost drive, Dumesny shot into the lead for a few seconds but found the same problem no drive off the bottom. While the Q36 and V5 car looked to get back down track the NT5 car of Reidy went by on the bottom to take the lead for a lap before a swift move by Robbie on the next lap gave him the lead back. From here on Robbie knew where he had to be and went to take the win in the no stop 30 lap event. Robbie and the team were very pleased to have another win and hope to be able to keep the good form going for the rest of the season.
