Robbie Farr was certainly “standin on the gas” last Saturday night in his Krikke Motorsports Avenger taking victory in the 22nd Annual Coca Cola Nanovich King of Wings held at the Kwinana complex in Perth.

Considering Robbie was one of the early cars out in time trails, he ended up with an impressive 14.620 sec lap giving the Australian One Avenger third fast time. In both heat races Robbie in the Toyota Genuine Parts supported machine was on the move and forged his way forward. While the team struggled a little to find the right set up, the new Aussie champ ended up with a seventh and fourth placing.

The next event was the Pole Shootout, with Robbie coming from position six, he won all bar his final race with Max Dumesny to move from row three to a front row starting position in the important A Feature.

Starting from position 2 and sharing the front row with Max Dumesny, Robbie’s Krikke Motorsport Aus 1 Avenger settled into second position for the early part of the main. While the Avenger’s set up was not as good as Robbie would have liked, he still was holding down a comfortable second place to Dumesny. But after Max crashed after hitting a rut in turn 3, Robbie took control going on to score another great win.

“ It was a good result considering we missed the set up a bit, but we still came away with the win. WA has certainly been very good for us this summer.”

This Saturday night, Robbie is back in the Australia One Toyota Genuine Parts, PWR Radiators, Terry Shields Toyota, Valvoline, Mercure Hotel Parramatta, Quick Race Parts, A-1 Digital Signs, Revolution Racegear, Mega Motors, Vortex Wings, and Bunbury Toyota Avenger will compete in the Krikke Boys Memorial at the Bunbury City Speedway. Robbie took out the race last year racing for Shane Krikke and the Krikke Motorsport Team, this is a race they really want to win again.
