Robbie Farr racing the Krikke Motorsports Avenger posted some great results over the past two weekends of racing in South Australia.

Since winning the Australian Title a couple of months ago, Robbie has been the in form driver on the Aussie sprintcar scene and in his last three meetings this summer in the Toyota Genuine Parts Team sprintcar, he has picked up a 3rd, 2nd and a victory last Saturday night.

Robbie’s trio of SA sprintcar meetings started in Adelaide on Friday night the 26th of March. Racing against some of the best in the country, Robbie with a 13.020 sec lap ended up with second fastest time in time trails. The heat results ended with the Australia 1 Toyota Genuine Parts, Avenger driver taking a sixth and third placing. The results gave him the 3rd starting position in the dash where the Action Man ended up with third and another third starting position in the important A Main feature. While his car was fast, it just wasn’t working well enough to move forward and ended the race still in third position. “We were there but not good enough to attack them.”

The following night, Robbie and the Krikke team headed to Murray Bridge for the South Australian Sprintcar Title. Robbie was simply on fire picking up victories in both his heat races as well as winning the opening Dash. The Australia 1 Avenger was running well all night and Robbie led the opening 22 of the 30-lap Title shootout A Main. But on lap 22, Max decided to go up top in turns 1 & 2 and took over the lead. After winning just about everything on the night, Robbie had to settle for second placing in the race that counted, but he still showed why he is the Aussie champ.

Then returning last Saturday night, Robbie and the team were back in Adelaide for their final sprintcar meeting of the season. Although he was faster than the previous week after clocking a fast 12.485 sec lap in time trails, the “Action Man” was again second fastest in the small but quality field. The heat races saw Robbie ending up with a third and fifth placing’s and was top points scorer going into the Dash event. He started off pole and took out the victory giving him pole for the important A Main. Robbie elected to start from position two for the main event, at the green Robbie jumped into the lead in the #1 Toyota Genuine Parts, PWR Radiators, Terry Shields Toyota, Valvoline, Mercure Hotel Parramatta, Quick Race Parts, A-1 Digital Signs, Revolution Racegear, Mega Motors, Vortex Wings, Bunbury Toyota Avenger. While in lapped traffic, Robbie could hear that Dillon was right on his tail, he was able to stay in control going on to take out a great victory.

“I was on the podium all three nights with a 3rd, 2nd then a 1st. It got better over the weekends and it was a great result as that was my last nights racing for the Krikke team this season. I’ve really enjoyed it and it was good to finish my season with Shane with another win. This weekend I’m back in the Titan car for the Easter trail events”

Robbie and the Krikke Motorsport Team thank their 2003-2004 season sponsor for their continued support:
