| Adelaide Wss, Farr And The Titan Team Pick Up A Close Second | ||||

It was awesome racing last Saturday night and my Titan Garages Maxim traded places with Jason Johnson a couple of times but at the end of the feature I had to settle for second place in round 3 of the World Series Sprintcars. I flew out of Sydney early Saturday morning arriving in Adelaide around 10 and when I arrived at my motel Peter and a couple of my old Krikke team guys were staying there so I took the opportunity to catch up with them. After that it was up to my room and I caught up with my team, we had some lunch before heading off to the track at around 3pm. It was a very hot day in Adelaide, probably around 38 when we arrived but getting there early gave us lots of time to prepare and check things out before we started racing. We were pretty good in hot laps, I think I was the fastest out there in my session but we didn’t really change anything for qualifying and it was average. My car was too loose and I ended only setting 14th best time. We had a good run in my first heat finishing third but I think it was the second heat race that really set my night up. By passing Shane Stewart and moving up just one position to finish second meant that I moved up 2-3 rows in the feature. Points are really important and my move set me up for the night. In the dash my Titan car was very fast and I ended up with second. In the feature I had a good start and was running fourth early in the race. I got by Brooke and leader Trevor Green started to come back to us. Jason Johnson got Green and I started to battle with him. We made contact and Trevor was out. I then moved onto Jason’s tail and we had some good close racing. I got under him for the lead and then he got back under me, it was awesome at the end we were so close but he took the win and I was second. Still it was another podium finish and if I can do that in every round well the series might go our way. This weekend we are off to Wagga and this time I can drive down and get back home to spend the Sunday at home. So if you’re going to Wagga come down and say hi. See you at the track soon, Robbie |
