A Victory Is A Good Start To Christmas For Farr & The Titan Garages Team
Tuesday, 14 December 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
It was a great start to Christmas last weekend with a victory for Robbie Farr and the Titan team at the Avalon round of the WSS, and going into the two weeks layoff with the points lead in the 2004/5 WSS championship to top it off.

Going into the previous round at Wagga, I was running second in the points and was looking for another top three finish. I knew that Wagga wasn’t going to be a strong track for me but it could have been a top two finish. After finishing second in the Dash, I had to start the feature from position four. Wagga was a track where there wasn’t any passing, it was really uneventful and that’s where I finished in fourth and just out of a podium placing.

Adelaide Wss, Farr And The Titan Team Pick Up A Close Second
Tuesday, 30 November 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
It was awesome racing last Saturday night and my Titan Garages Maxim traded places with Jason Johnson a couple of times but at the end of the feature I had to settle for second place in round 3 of the World Series Sprintcars.

I flew out of Sydney early Saturday morning arriving in Adelaide around 10 and when I arrived at my motel Peter and a couple of my old Krikke team guys were staying there so I took the opportunity to catch up with them. After that it was up to my room and I caught up with my team, we had some lunch before heading off to the track at around 3pm.

Now The Serious Racing Starts For Team Titan & Farr!
Tuesday, 16 November 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
The World Series Sprintcars started last weekend in Brisbane for the Titan Team and myself, I was able to pick up a third place but already its shaping up to be a very tough Series.

I flew up to Brisbane early on Friday night and with Scott Males who was returning after a season working with Jason Sides it was a good chance to get to know him before he starts working with our team. Plus I also caught up with Shane Stewart with his wife Kimberley and the guys from the Performance Wholesale Team.

On Saturday morning I headed off to the race shop but the guys had everything almost done so I just checked the car over. With everything set for the nights racing Nick, Scott and I had some lunch, just the three of us chatting about the up coming WSS trail plus we had a good meal before the action started.

Well At Least I Finished Third For Team Titan
Tuesday, 02 November 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
It was good to be back home at the Parramatta City Raceway last Saturday night and after the drama of flipping over the previous week, I’m happy with a third placing in the main.

After the troubles at the opening PCR show, the boys ended up putting together a new car during the week. It was another Maxim chassis with the same running gear. They had it all done by midweek and did a good job.

But to come here this week we didn’t know, sometimes two cars are identical chassis’ but you never know if they work the same. This car feels really good, it felt the same as the other car and I’m happy about that.

Not A Great Ending To My Weekend At Home Or For The Titan Team!
Tuesday, 26 October 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Everything was going great early in the night, my Titan Garages Maxim picking up a heat and the dash wins but in the main the car got a little bit of bounce up in turn 2 and away it went, crashing out of the main. And while I was leading the A Main!

It was the first show at Parramatta and I’ve been looking forward to it all week, you know Parramatta with a 410! I haven’t got too many shows here so I was pretty pumped up about it. I was looking forward to it but with all the bad weather during the week I didn’t think we would get to race.

The night started well, I came out of nine in my first heat and ran second, no problems. I won the next heat that gave me a front row start in Dash and went on to take out another victory for the night.

Another Great Titan Weekend For Farr
Tuesday, 19 October 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Last Saturday night in Brisbane was my second meeting of the season in the Titan Garages Maxim and while I didn’t repeat my great form from the previous Brisbane meeting in winning the heats and dash I did end the night off with a victory in the A Main.

I flew to Brisbane around lunch time on Saturday with Steve picking me up from the airport we headed straight to the workshop. The guys had much of the work done and there was next to nothing to do, so at 3.30 or so we loaded the car into the truck and headed off to the track.

The format had changed from the first meeting there, this time it was on handicap and with me winning the previous meeting I was coming from back of the field in both my heats. I came out of I think eight in heat 2 and seven in heat 3 but was only able to finish both events in second position, which wasn’t too bad. I then picked up another second in the dash and then started out of position two in the main.

What A Great Weekend For Farr & The Titian Team
Wednesday, 06 October 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Well it was almost a perfect weekend and certainly a great start to my racing season. Racing the #36 Titan Garages Maxim we were able to pick up four out of four wins for the night at Brisbane.

I flew up to Brisbane early on Saturday morning and went straight up to our race shop. The guys had it all under control, so there wasn’t much to be done to the racecar before the meeting. We arrived at the track nice and early and did a photo shot, you know while the car was still in perfect condition.

During the night everything was fine, the team worked well together. It was an uneventful evening, everything went so smooth. It was the first time I’ve raced a Maxim in Australia, and I’m totally happy with it, as I felt very comfortable all night.

Robbie Farr Gets Dirty This Weekend At Brisbane!
Friday, 01 October 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
It’s that time of the year and my racing season starts this Saturday night driving for my new team, Titan Garages and carports at their home base track in Brisbane.

I’m looking forward to the summer with the Titan team, they just have to be one of the best set up sprintcar teams in the country. Last weekend I flew up to Brisbane to catch up with Reeve and the guys and to have a shake down run in my new Maxim.

I was able to do around 20 or so laps around the Brisbane track and I immediately felt comfortable in the car. It was a system check for this Saturday night and my team certainly worked well during the night and that’s a good sign! I was totally happy with the car and we didn’t experience any problems.

Robbie Farr Ends His Summer Campaign At Brisbane!
Wednesday, 05 May 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
After wrecking a car during the Friday night qualifying heats Robbie Farr blasted back to finish last weekend’s Australian Sprintcar Open with an impressive fifth position in the A Main feature.

In what was Robbie Farr’s final sprintcar meeting of the season, “the Action Man” returned to the Brisbane International Speedway for the running of the two night 2004 Australian Sprintcar Open. Racing the Titan Garages and Carports team Eagle the Australian Champ looked like he was going to continue the previous weeks great form. But things didn’t go to plan, a DNF in his first heat and while running in a good second position during his second heat of the Friday night show, Robbie rode a right rear wheel. That sent Robbie crashing into the fence damaging the frame. With the Eagle too badly damaged for a quick repair Robbie and the Titan team rushed back to the Brisbane workshop and built up another car for the following nights final.

Tuesday, 09 March 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Robbie Farr was certainly “standin on the gas” last Saturday night in his Krikke Motorsports Avenger taking victory in the 22nd Annual Coca Cola Nanovich King of Wings held at the Kwinana complex in Perth.

Considering Robbie was one of the early cars out in time trails, he ended up with an impressive 14.620 sec lap giving the Australian One Avenger third fast time. In both heat races Robbie in the Toyota Genuine Parts supported machine was on the move and forged his way forward. While the team struggled a little to find the right set up, the new Aussie champ ended up with a seventh and fourth placing.

Robbie Takes The Australian Sprintcar Satmpede Crown In Adelaide!
Wednesday, 18 February 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Last Saturday night, Aussie Champ Robbie Farr took out the $10,000 to win sprintcar victory racing at the Speedway City venue in Adelaide. The “Action Man” was superb all night long in the Toyota Genuine Parts Avenger with the only problem being an incident on the opening lap of the feature when Robbie touched wheels with Max Dumesny, sending Max into the fence and out of the race.

The previous week in his first meeting after winning the Title Robbie was again the guy to beat at Kwinana and after being highest in points and leading the feature a flat tyre saw his retirement.

Australian Sprintcar Title #1 To Robbie Farr
Thursday, 05 February 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Robbie Farr picked up his first Australian Sprintcar Title on the weekend and that has now fuelled his fire to try for another one or two more Aussie Titles to add to his already impressive list of sprintcar and speedcar wins. ”I’ve always wanted to win an Australian Sprintcar title, now that I have one it has given me so much satisfaction”

After a season that has seen a few ups and downs, the Krikke Motorsport team and Robbie didn’t give up there desire to climb back up the ladder to be a top competitive team and mix it with the best once again. The results from the recent World Series final in Adelaide showed that the team was on the money with 3rd fastest time, then taking a 4th and 1st place in the heats followed by a dash win, rounding out the night with second place in the final. Next on the calendar was the Classic at Premier Speedway, and once again Robbie and the team continued with their strong performances, but the truth was that the team didn’t want to take any unnecessary chances of knocking the gear around any more than they had to.

Robbie Farr Grabs Sprintcar Title Victory
Tuesday, 03 February 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Robbie Farr has been one of Australia’s top sprintcar drivers for a numbers of years now, but last weekend racing at the Krikke Motorsport Teams home track in Bunbury, the “Action Man” took out the title that means the most to him and claimed the 2004 Australian Sprintcar Title. In winning the crown Robbie joins an elite group of Australian speedway drivers who have won both the Sprintcar and Speedcar national titles.

Well it certainly hasn’t been one of Robbie’s best summers, but with the 2004 title being conducted at the Bunbury venue in Western Australia, the Toyota Genuine Parts/Krikke Motorsports team were hopping for a change of fortune. Robbie has been very successful in the past at the Bunbury City Raceway and was hoping for a return to the form of last season for one of the biggest meetings of the summer calendar.

The "action Man" Is Starting To Find Form On The Wss Trail
Tuesday, 13 January 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Going into the Christmas break Robbie Farr wasn’t happy with his form so far in this seasons WSS trail but since the break things have been looking up for Robbie and the Krikke team.

The Boxing Day round in Adelaide saw Robbie posting a 2nd and 4th in the heats another 4th in the dash but like most of the other competitors tyres were the big problem with the “action man” blowing a tyre while running in 4th position in the A Main.

Farr Was Impressive At The Outlaws Downunder In The Aussie Spec 372 Engine
Tuesday, 13 January 2004 00:00    PDF Print E-mail
Robbie Farr and the Krikke team knew it would be tough competing again some of the best sprintcar drivers in the world with their smaller 372 engine but Robbie ended up qualifying into Saturday nights 40 lap A Main, but after cutting a tyre he finished right down the race order.

With a delay during Thursday nights qualifying time trails, Robbie was caught out being one of the last cars out. On what was a very slick track, Robbie only set a disappointing 14.201 sec lap and was way down in 43rd position. His results on the opening night saw the “action man” finishing 7th in heat 3, a victory in the C Main and a 10th placing in the B Main.
