After a strong third placing at Brisbane on Saturday night Robbie Farr and the Krikke Motorsports team are looking forward to the final three round’s of the WSS and hopefully picking up the prestigious World Series Sprintcars championship.

The first meeting of the new year at Warrnambool didn’t produced the results Robbie wanted and after setting 3rd quickest time with a brilliant 10.718 sec lap and a fifth placing in heat 6 it just wasn’t his night. After getting involved in a couple of incidents Robbie was credited with 15th position in the A Main.

“I just couldn’t stay out of trouble!”

Then it was off to Brisbane last Saturday night for the first of the two WSS rounds . Robbie ended with fifth best time in the early time trails with another good 26 cars on hand for the night. In heat 2 Robbie started from position eight moving by two cars to end up sixth at the checker. Robbie was really “standin on the gas” in heat 4 after coming from position 7, he quickly made his presence felt in the field going on to score a brilliant victory. The win gave Robbie enough points to end up second highest in points going into the pole shootout. Unfortunately Max Dumesny took out the shootout leaving Robbie in the Krikke Motorsports, Toyota Genuine Parts, Quick Race Parts, Avenger Chassis, Bunbury Toyota, PWR Radiators, Revolution Racegear, Valvoline team Avenger to start from position 3 in the all important A Main.

It was a one lane race track in the main with the top three Pittman, Dumesny and Farr not changing positions and finishing as they started. Robbie’s third position still left him in second position in the points tally but with three rounds still remaining Robbie and the Krikke Motorsports team have definitely left their mark of this years WSS tournament and are looking to win the prestigious crown.

“It was a good solid night for us and we are very happy to bounce back after the disappointing run at Warrnambool on New Years night. The points battle is getting a bit tight but I’ll be back on Wednesday night and looking to take out another win.”

This Wednesday night Robbie is back racing in Brisbane for the next round of the WSS before heading home to Sydney this weekend for the two night Parts Plus $50,000 sprintcar event at the Parramatta City Raceway.
