Robbie Farr racing the Toyota Genuine Parts PWR Radiators Avenger certainly finished the World Series Sprintcars in sensational fashion with the “Action Man” winning both of the final two rounds of the prestigious series. Unfortunately the two victories still didn’t give Robbie enough points to take out the 2002/3 WSS tournament, so to finish a very close second to American World Of Outlaws hard charger Daryn Pittman wasn’t such a bad result for Robbie and the Krikke Motorsports team on their first summer together.

Last Friday night the WSS headed to the Sonic Speedway at Swan Hill in Victoria and with a 16 car line up Robbie ended up with fourth best time with a 14.980 sec lap. Robbie’s results in the heats saw him finishing 5th in heat one and third in heat 4. The rather disappointing results meant that Robbie had to start the A Main down the order and was back in tenth position. He found a good part of the track and forged his way forward. And after a lowly starting position the “Action Man” was again very impressive and took out a brilliant victory defeating American star Donny Schatz with Max Dumesny and series leader Daryn Pittman following behind.

The following night it was off to Speedway City and a very happy hunting ground for both Robbie and the Krikke Motorsports team this summer. Robbie has been the form racer in Adelaide this summer with him winning both the previous WSS round held there this season.

Robbie started the evening out in brilliant style with the #2 PWR Radiators, Toyota Genuine Parts Avenger setting quick time in the opening time trails with a great 12.736 sec lap. With a strong 25-car field Robbie certainly wasn’t going to have an easy night. In the opening heat Robbie started back in 8th and last position but as usual he “stood on the gas” and powered his way forward to finish second behind American star Donny Schatz. Heat 5 Robbie again started back in the pack in position 7 and finished up to be in a great second position at the checker. His good results gave Robbie highest points going into the pole shootout. Robbie won that battle defeating Donny Schatz and claimed pole position for the WSS A Main final. In the A Main it was all Robbie Farr and the Krikke Motorsports Avenger with Robbie continuing his brilliant run at Adelaide and took out win number 3 at Speedway City. He defeated Donny Schatz and Darren Jensen with WSS points leader Daryn Pittman a non finisher.

On the following night at the annual WSS Presentation Dinner Robbie picked up the prestigious Drivers Driver Award, with all the drivers choosing the award.

“It was an awesome weekend, everything went our way. We are showing some good form going into this weekends big race. I’m looking forward to the Classic, I would like to keep that winning streak going! and I wish the title was going to be in Adelaide this year.”

The Toyota Genuine Parts, PWR Radiators, Quick Race Parts, Avenger Chassis, Bunbury Toyota, Krikke Motorsports, A1 Signs, Fortron, Revolution Racegear, Valvoline team head to Premier Speedway Warrnambool this weekend for the annual Classic and the following week the 2003 Australian Sprintcar title.
