What a sensational season debut for Robbie Farr racing the new 410 cubic inch Titan sprintcar as the Parramatta local blitzed the PCR sprintcar field on Saturday night to score a superb victory in the first ever 410 sprintcar A Main raced in Australia.

Robbie racing the Titan Garages sprintcar for the first two Parramatta meetings was absolutely awesome from the moment he jumped into the Queensland #21 machine, he really showed the capabilities of the larger 410 cubic inch spec powerplant. In a usual PCR quality sprintcar field, Robbie showed to all that he meant business. From the start of the opening heat, the “Action Man” was “gassing it up” and quickly powered from position 3 into the race lead going onto score the victory in the first heat. Heat 5 saw Robbie coming out of position 4 and while challenging for the lead, the Titan Garages sprintcar had to settle for second at the checker. In the 6 lap Dash, the beautifully prepared Parramatta track was at its best and with Robbie sharing the front row with Max Dumesny, the Action Man unleashed the power of the 410 and jumped into an immediate and race winning lead. Robbie was awesome in the 6 lapper and the rest of the field didn’t have an answer for the former PCR track champion.

Then it was off to the final sprintcar race of the night, the 30 lap season opener A Main. Robbie started from position 13 but was quickly forging his way forward. The car looked great out on the track and by around half race distance was up with the leading pack before powering into the race lead. After a rather disappointing results at his home track PCR last season, the Action Man continued on to take out a brilliant A Main victory and the first 410 win in Australia, a result for the record books.

“It was a great night, after a long winter it was good to get back into a car and have a good night straightaway. I didn’t have any troubles, just chased the set up and got to where we needed to be at the end. It was a perfect night for the Titan team and a perfect night for me to start the season. I think I broke the 6 lap track record which was pretty neat. I really didn’t think the 410 would be that much quicker and get down to that sort of times, it was pretty impressive.”

Next Saturday night (October 11th) Robbie will be back in the Titan Garages 410ci powered sprintcar for round 2 of the PCR Track Championship.
