Robbie Farr Motorsport and the EWT Race Team were disappointed at not being able to race for back-to-back Queensland Sprintcar Titles due to the poor weather. At the completion of the heat racing in this years Queensland Sprintcar title thing were looking good for Robbie and the team to be in a good position to challenge to retain the Title honors. But first the pole shuffle had to be contested for the final starting positions in the main event, after challenging and winning over Garry Brazier for the chance to go for the top spot against Max Dumesny the motor called it quits with a suspected burnt piston, putting Robbie out of the final run off. At this point disappointment set in as the spare motor was away getting a freshen up, then the real sportsmanship in this sport shined through. Offers of help in one way or another came from all corners of the pits, a closer inspection did confirm that the motor problem was terminal. With all the offers of help the decision was to change the motor with one offered to Robbie from one of his greatest rivals, that being Max Dumesny. As the two teams set about changing the motors the rain began to fall with the eventual cancellation of the meeting. Robbie and the EWT Team would like to thank all the teams for there offers of help, special thanks must go to Max Dumesny and his Valvoline Team for the loan of there motor and the assistance to fit the motor. Also thanks to Brett Loadsman in the N33 Squirt In The Dirt car for the offer of his car to Robert if the EWT and Valvoline teams were able to have the fresh motor fitted in time for the main event. Bretts offer was greatly appreciated as Brett had qualified himself to start from P9 in the A Main, also to Bill Mann from Performance Warehouse for his assistance and help to try and get Robbie back on the track. Robbie once again would like to thank all the team sponsors associated with the Robbie Farr Motorsports and EWT Race Team throughout the season, don’t forget to checkout and support all the sponsors on the sponsor’s page at www.robbiefarr.com |
