After being one of the most successful Sydney sprintcar racers in recent years, Robbie Farr has decided its time to travel and run against the nations best in the World Series Sprintcars tournament. Robbie hasn’t done things in half measures and has joined forces with one of the best sprintcar outfits in the country the West Australian team of Shane Krikke. The Krikke team won the prestigious Australia Sprintcar Title last year so they are no strangers to winning the big events. Robbie has been the stand out performer at the local Parramatta City Raceway with the “Action Man” picking up his second consecutive PCR Track Championship and Sprintcar Association of NSW points score series as well as the NSW Sprintcar Titles earlier this year but he now has eyes on the prestigious WSS crown, as well as the big shows across the Australia. “I’m looking forward to next season running with Shane and his slick team. I’ve set myself new goals and I think its time for me to move on and tackle the WSS with a very competitive package.” Long time and loyal supporters of Robbie are continuing to back him next season, with him again having the use of the latest Avenger chassis for his assault on the WSS. Toyota Genuine Parts will continue to sponsor the Krikke Motorsports/Robbie Farr team with Standox Paints another longtime sponsor of Robbie also joining the new oufit. The only downside is that Robbie has parted company with Peter Johnson and his EWT Auto Dismantlers team. “I like to thank Peter for his support and help over the past few seasons at Parramatta. Peter has wished me all the best for the upcoming season and maybe sometime in the future we may team up again. But for now I’m fully focused on running with Shane and winning the 2003 WSS crown.” The Parramatta City Raceway has been Robbie’s home base over the past few season’s but its now Australia who calls the “Action Man”. Robbie will not be abandoning Parramatta and will be racing at all the major races held there next season. But Robbie is just not a Parramatta track specialist and has always been one to the top sprintcar racers at every track he has raced in the past. He has picked up many major and prestigious race victories in every State in the country. Its certainly shaping up to be a exciting 2002/3 sprintcar season with Robbie teaming up with Shane Krikke. The new combination is definitely going to shake rattle and roll the sprintcar opposition. |
