Early this morning Robbie Farr flew out of Australia to prepare for his upcoming drive in the World of Outlaws that he won as part of the his prize for once again taking out the very prestigious 2001-2002 Parramatta Raceway point score.

Robbie left today for approximately four weeks in the states to take up the drive with the Outlaws and to also have a short holiday. Robbie has a few travelling companions on this trip, his number one supporter, his mother Robyn and her friend Carol Lander will be there to keep an eye on him when they are not out shopping together. Also long time Aussie team members Carl troffa and Shan Finch have gone with Robbie to see what’s new and how the Americans go about their racing.

This trip is shaping up to being the start of Robbie’s 2002/2003 season with the possibility of a drive next Saturday night at the semi banked quarter mile Antioch Speedway in California in a 410 Wingless Sprintcar. (Results for the meeting can be found at www.antiochspeedway.com) Robbie will be pleased if this deal comes off and to get a few laps in. After this Robbie and his clan intend to head of to Las Vegas for a few days before heading to California for his drive with the Outlaws at Calistoga and Chico in one of the Kinser cars.

When Robbie arrives back home there will only be a couple of weeks before the Australian racing season gets under way, before leaving for America Robbie was working on a plan that will see him racing at Parramatta for the month of October. This will help Robbie to be race ready before he moves on to join forces with his new team Krikke Motorsport for all the major events and the World Series campaign in Australia this season. To round of the season Robbie has plans to run the Easter trail in Victoria driving the EWT car of Peter Johnson if his commitments allow.

The new season is looking good for Robbie and the Shane Krikke Motorsport Team along with their sponsors for a strong showing.
