It was another good showing for Robbie Farr and the Krikke Motorsports team last night at the Quit Motorplex at Kwinana with the Action Man scoring a strong 5th in the A Main feature.

Robbie didn’t start the evening off too well in the Toyota Genuine Parts, Quick Race Parts, Krikke Motorsports Bunbury Toyota, PWR Radiators, Revolution Racegear, Valvoline, Avenger. Starting 21st in a 33 car field in time trails, saw Robbie ending up with only 14th quick time (14.199 sec) but the car was too high geared hurting Robbie’s chances of a very quick time. Then in his first heat and incident saw the #2 Toyota Geniune Parts Avenger bending a jacobs ladder leaving the Action Man to finish one position lower than he started and that was in eight position. In his next heat after coming out of position eight, Robbie was back to his usual “standin on the gas” and ended up with a superb second position at the checker.

In the all important A Main a bad time trial early on then a poor heat result saw Robbie starting the Round 2 WSS Feature in a lowly 12 position but Robbie was able to greatly improve on that to greet the end of the race with a brilliant fifth placing.

The fifth placing in the A Main now gives Robbie a good fourth position in the WSS tally with 1349 points.

“It was one of those nights, we were on the back foot from the start and its hard to play catch up for the rest of the night.”

This Wednesday night Robbie will be running in round 3 of the 2002/3 WSS at the Kalgoorlie International Raceway, with Robbie aiming to improve his points standing with the one aim in mind and that is to be crowned the new World Series Sprintcar Champion.
