FARR'S PHENOMENAL SEASON
official press release: East Coast Pipeline Racingf There's an old saying in sport that "Statistics don't lie" and the same can be said for Robbie Farr and the East Coast Pipeline Sprintcar Team in the just completed 2011/2012 Speedway season.
Recently wrapping up his tenth main event success for the season with a $10,000 bounty at Dubbo Speedway Farr ended an epic 50-race campaign with a string of consistent results that establish the ECPR Team as one of the elite teams of the modern era
"We've had a fantastically consistent season," agrees Robbie, "when you look bacfk on it the statistics really do add up. I'm very proud of this team and the work ethic we put into everything we do. It has certainly paid off."
Out of 50 race events contested the team scored ten main event wins – that's 1 out of every 5!
The East Coast Pipeline Racing Team have now scored 45 main event victories – and it's already on Farr's radar to score 50 for Barry Waldron and the team early in the 2012/2013 schedule.
Robbie himself scored a personal milestone that may have gone unnoticed at Avalon Raceway in Victoria when his history making joint-Victorian Title win with Stephen Bell saw Robbie notch his 100th career main event win since 2000.
"I'm very proud of that statistic," he smiles, "I've been in this game a long time and to get the 100th main event win was a very significant achievement. I'm grateful for the all car owners, sponsors and supporters who have contributed to that result over the years."
Of course, Farr wasted little time adding wins 101 (Sydney) 102 (Toowoomba) and 103 (Dubbo) to round out 2011/2012.
In that time since 2000 he also notched up 64 second-placings and 40 third-placings from a total of 543 races contested – again protecting that 1 in every 5 win rate.
Across the country the ECPR Team lead virtually every statistic upon review.
Overall Feature Wins: 10
Most amount of Podium finishes: 18
Top Ten Feature Race Finishes: 34
In almost all instances outside of DNF results through crash damage the team stayed inside the top five for the major events.
"This kind of result is only possible though the support of our valued sponsors, our hard working team and our valued supporters," explains Robbie, "it's been a great year and I'm proud of what we've achieved."
